Volunteer Information

From September 2023 through December 2025, groups from across the East Coast of Vancouver Island, from Campbell River south to Victoria, partnered with the BC Conservation Foundation and Vancouver Island University project team to collect water samples from waterways in their respective regions. These partnerships allowed the project team to expand the capacity of the project significantly, allowing for investigations of tire wear toxins in waterways across a much larger geographic area.
